Mounting

Post by akell2 »

I thought I read somewhere that the smartnav 4 could be mounted using a standard camera type screw fitting. Is this correct?
If so how do you do this?

akell2,

Yes, if you remove the base there is a 6/32 thread mount. That is the standard for cameras and can be mounted on most new camera mounts.

Hi Mike
Thanks for confirming that.
I tried to remove the base but could not seem to do it. Is there a spring clip to take out first, or do you just pull?
Many thanks,
Andrew

akell2,

There should be a metal pin that you pull out of the back. Once pulled out it releases the base.

akell2,

See the little metal clip in the recessed section, just under where it says Aspire? Use a hook to pull that out and it will release the base.
