Howdy all. Found out something interesting tonite. Lately I rebuilt my system and was really happy with the increase in performance overall, but my TIR still seemed to have sticky points here and there. I kept adjusting the distance between my head and the TIR with mixed results. Tonite I decided to increase my resolution for IL2 to 1152x864 32 bit from 1024 x 768 32 bit and as soon as I did the TIR performed beutifully!!! Stayed smooth all night long with nary a hitch or hangup!!! No stickiness at all!!! What's going on??? I would think it would get more sticky the higher the res. I ain't complaining mind you, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Flying tonite was simply AWESOME! Quit worrying about my TIR and became really ingrossed in the sim, even got some kills to boot!!! Cya in 'da skies!

HaukeyeI could be totally wrong here, but I suspect that your monitor's refresh rate at the higher resolution was less, but closer to, the FPS of the TrackIR and thus generated smoother transitions.
But that would be just a guess....

I've been thinking about it some more, and I did go from an AMD Athlon 2400+ to the Athlon 3500+, so that could have something to do with it, eh? Check six!

Re: Higher Res, Better TIR???
Glad to see you got it fixed. Your screen resolution shouldn't matter, but at least it's working properly now!
