Does SmartNav register as your mouse with every application or only if the application supports it? I understand the difference between TrackIR and SmartNav is that TrackIR is made specifically for gaming and that it requires the use of a program to function. Since SmartNav is essentially a replacement for your mouse does that mean it always works and controls your cursor - even in video games? I am quadriplegic and it intrigues me that I can use SmartNav for regular mouse movement but what happens when I start up my favorite MMORPG? Will my mouse suddenly stop functioning?

There are a few applications where the Smartnav does not work 100%. Currently I am having issues with it functioning correctly in Total War Warhammer. Not saying that it doesn't function at all, but there are issues right now with getting it to work. What is your MMORPG? I can let you know if I have heard of any issues.

A lot of my friends have started playing Elder Scrolls Online. Which functions a lot like a FPS with the mouse being used to turn and look around. That is really all I am concerned with as I am comfortable using the keyboard for clicking and every action/ability can be bound to the keyboard. I am just physically unable to move a regular mouse around which makes the game unplayable for me. So I am crossing my fingers that SmartNav is the answer.

Would you please share the list of apps that are not compatible with Smartnav.

There isn't a list compiled of non-compatible software because the frequency of updates often fixes the issue.

Games like Skyrim don't work very well because the mouse is fixated in the center of the screen for some of them it depends a lot on the game
