Your fix worked in Prepare 3D 4.5 updated
For clarity for exe. can be foound

My TIR 5 has done exactly the same. Conveniently outside of warranty. I barely used it for 10 hours.

None of the solutions in this thread have helped, the TIR is just dead. I've tried on 3 different PCs.

I'm done with NaturalPoint.

Mr. Chris Johnson, the response to naturalpoint customers regarding the tracker remains unanswered. read the messages above, you will see that the hardware and software of each are different but the problem is the same.
no more wooden tongue, concrete please.
