Keymapping, joy emulation etc..

Post by Darknoodles »

Hi guys at NP,
i browsed the forum to find informations about keymapping features and joystick emulation and stuff, and the topic i found was dating from 5 years ago, and most of it was saying was "we hope it will come in 5.x version"

But we still have no news from those features and... it was asked really long time ago :-/

Maybe you should reconsider software priorities between making updates that users dont even see a real difference, and adding mapping features to make your device more compatible with more games, and so, make your product known as a product that can be used even if not fully supported by game devs.

You also mentionned it depends of the times and resources of NP employees, but why don't you ask for volonteers ?

The hardware product is great (except trackclip pro a bit to fragile) but you dont focus on making it fully usable :(

it makes me sad :'(

CandidAstrius,

Thank you for the input, I'll add it to a feature request. Though our Dev team is always busy, I like to list the requested features. I'll send it over to them soon.

Any updates on this? I'm really enjoying Rocket League these days, and would find the TrackIR absolutely amazing for looking around, instead of shifting my thumb between the right analog stick and the button pad. In fact I'm constantly looking around anyway, because I'm fully expecting TrackIR to work in it haha

Rambowjo,

Everything is still up in the air on this and I don't have a specific timeline for any of the feature requests. I am with you on this one though, I would love to be in Rocket League. It seems to be perfect for keeping track of the ball and not going insane.

Well it's good to hear that somebody agrees. Hopefully we'll see this feature soon, I can see a lot of great applications for it :)

Thought I would bump this post as I'm looking for a solution to using TrackIR for leaning in games that would usually use Q and E to lean (namely PUBG and Rainbow 6 Siege) and have freelook.

I downloaded TrackMapper only to find out it only uses Pitch and Yaw axis's and can't be used for roll or X/Y/Z movement, and apparently TIR2Joy doesn't support the latest version of TrackIR?
