Jim or Halstead..still no CFS3 support?

Post by 777 Burnin AVG »

Hey guys,

I see we still don't have CFS3 support for Track IR? Any attempts to get it implemented? Just curious. And congrats on getting it implemented for FS2004!

The bottom line is that CFS3 will probably never have trackIR support. Development on the title is more or less done, and the core team is beginning work on whatever their next title might be. However, our relationship with Microsoft has strengthened up over the past few months, and I think that trackIR Enhanced support in future Microsoft sim titles is likely.

What about keyboard or hat emulation? That would work to some degree across the board with all sims (including CFS2 and CFS3).

There is a way to look around the cockpit with the joystick tophatch like the virtual cockpit in FS2002 and FS2004. Just press the Scroll lLock button on your keyboard. In that way you can do a 360 degrees look around. Is there any way to change the codec of the TRACKIR to do the same with that view in CFS3 as it is in Virtual cockpit of FS2002 and FS2004?
