Hello,
I bought a new active tag and LEDs (Sept. 2023) so should have the latest version of the tag.
If I were to try to pickup a used active base station, what are some ways to tell if the active base station has a firmware compatible with the current tags?
Do all active base stations with serial numbers above a certain number have the ability to have their firmware updated to the latest?
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thank you,
William

Hi William,
To ensure compatibility, check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates or contact support for guidance. Not all base stations may support firmware updates, so confirming with the manufacturer is key.

You can find the firmware version by connecting the basestation to your PC and running the active batch programmer or PuTTY. In general basestations with 1.x firmware are compatible with tags on 1.x firmware and basestations on 2.x firmware are compatible with tags on 2.x.
