I have had success using linuxtrack and I have setup instructions at this post viewtopic.php?p=87514#p87514. I now use it in my daily linux driver for all Wine games where they either have direct trackir support such as IL2 or any other game where I use linuxtrack to drive Antimicrox as a virtual joystick or mouse. There is also this post where me and another user swapped info and he had another path to success https://github.com/uglyDwarf/linuxtrack/issues/206

I hope this is useful

Problem is linuxtrack is old and won't install on all distro's. I tried getting it installed on Garuda Linux and it was no go.

I'd just like to voice support for a linux version, please, not everyone has a high functioning brain to be able to compile and hack our computers into running the software, proton basically allows every windows game to be playable without much fuss, why can't this also work? I just don't want to deal with windows anymore, I hate it, I hate it! I'd rather stick my tongue into a crocodile's mouth rather than install windows again, they even have telemtry on the goddamn calculator app; it comes preinstalled with candy crush and useless weather apps; a brand new install consumes gigs worth of ram while it's idling! I'd rather use TempleOS than windows. Sorry for my rant, I created an account just to voice my opinion.

I ditched windows a few years ago and will not go back.
I just spent a fortune on new flight stick and throttle after researching who had the best linux functionality.
A tracker is on the wishlist and seeing as my money will go to the first one of trackir or the eye tracker that gets a linux driver going, please be first.

I hear about people leaving for linux a lot more often and most of those stay and start advocating. We are a niche market in a niche market, but that can get you monopoly.

Please take the time to make something for us and we will support you.

I also registered just to repeat the request for Linux support. I own two TrackIR systems and they will be no longer used and likely sold when I switch to Linux on my new PC build this month. I will switch to an open neural solution if this company is not able to keep up with the flow.

Regards,
Mark
