Post by eduardo.reise »

How to redefine the camera numbers in motive? I tried many things, such as restarting motive and plugging the cameras one by one. However, as cameras gets plugged their numbers gets changed.

You can change the way cameras are numbered in the general settings under camera displays>camera ID. The default method is by location but you can change this to be by serial number. In Motive 3.1+ you have the option to set custom numbering.

You can change the camera numbers in the general settings, Camera Displays > Camera ID. Motive 3.1+ allows you to change the default from location to serial number or apply custom numbering.

First unplug all cameras from the system. Then, open Motive without any cameras connected. After that, plug in each camera one by one in the order you want them numbered. Make sure each camera is fully recognized before plugging in the next one. This way, Motive should assign numbers based on the order of connection. If the problem continues, check if your Motive version supports manual camera ID settings or contact OptiTrack support for help.
