TrackIR 4 with X-plane 12

Hi I have installed TrackIR 4 on to my PC. I'm running the latest and last software available for version 4 which is 5.4.2.27545 on a Windows 11 Pro PC. I want to integrate it into X-plane 12. The install went without any issues and appears to work fine when using the software to fine tune. My problem is that it does not work with X-Plane 12 at all, I get no movement what so ever even when the check box is ticked to enable TrackIR and Track Hat viewing in 3d cockpit in X-Planes graphics screen. I have tried using both the Track Clip and Track Clip Pro without success. I did use this setup many years ago with Microsoft FSX with out issues.
Can anyone shed any light as to what may be wrong and how i might get the software to work with X-Plane 12

Hello colin866,

First, make sure you are launching TrackIR first and then X-Plane 12. You may need to launch both with administrative privileges so that they can communicate correctly. When you launch X-Plane, does the green light on the right side of the camera turn on?

Hi Jillian,

I did as you suggested launch TrackIR first, I made sure it operated correctly then I launched X-Plane 12 both with Admin rights. I made sure that the use TrackIR and Track Hat box was enabled in the graphics section. No movement at all again, with regards to the lights on the camera I have never seen a green light on the right side of the camera but i do have a green light top centre and a blue light bottom centre both have been illuminated. Lighting on the desktop TrackIR software is bottom right on the screen and Green and Amber are illuminated when in use and the blue is dark however when left clicking my mouse over the blue light it indicates that it is streaming. The blue light has been illuminated for a short while but soon goes out.
I thought there may have been a clash between TrackIr and a Plugin within X-plane called X-Camera so I disabled it and rechecked still no movement and that is with using both track Clip and Track Clip Pro.

Hi Colin,

The only other thing you may want to try is launching both TrackIR and X-Plane without TrackIR privileges. If it still isn't working, you may need to reach out to X-Plane's developer to see why this isn't working. It sounds like the TrackIR software is working normally, but it isn't connecting with X-Plane's software. Each developer is responsible for supporting their own implementation of TrackIR into their game or simulator.

Hi Again Jillian,
Thanks for your help. I've just remembered that TrackIR is installed on my C Drive (ie) Windows 11 Drive and my X-Plane install is my E Drive would that make any difference. I have also tried using TrackIR through X-Camera a plugin within X-plane and I get a response of "TrackIR - Error registering the window handle verify TrackIR software is running" whilst doing a systems check, so it would appear to be a comms issue between softwares because TrackIR was running.

Update....
Have finally got TrackIR working with X=Plane 12. I moved the Track IR folder from my C Drive to my e Drive and reloaded my aircraft and everything now works.
