New Website and TrackIR 5.3.0 now available.

Hello all.....

So I updated and now it wont find my unit.... When I open trackIR is just says No device detected in the far left corner.

Im using windows 7 Had no issues before. Now I have tried to reinstall the trackir from scratch and still the same...

Any way to go back to the older version???

I copy and pasted Dyslexi's Arma TrackIR xml file http://dslyecxi.com/trackir5/ into the ProgramFiles X86/Natural Point/TrackIR5/Profiles amongst the other .xml profiles that come standard with the software,but TrackIR software wont acknowledge it. Compatibility issues with 5.3 ,perhaps?

I was pasting profile data into wrong file path. Correct one is in users/*username*/appdata/ forgotten the rest, I'm away from my pc, atm. All fixed

I have been running Trackir 5 with no problems so far. I installed the device yesterday in a new computer with windows 10 x64 and using the new 5.3 software version. Everything seemed to work fine until the computer updated to Windows 10 pro. Now the camera is not recognised anymore. None of the LED lights come on when plugged.
The Device Manager shows an unknown device. I followed the instructions in the troubleshooting section of the manual (uninstall, several reboots, reinstall...) but the computer still does not recognize the device. The software starts fine though.

I already contacted the help center.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Does your PC recognize the device or is it just the software that doesn't see it?

Please transfer the profiles to the new location "%AppData%\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5\Profiles" and then let me know if they show up correctly.

I have been running TrackIR5 (5.2.2) fine for on a windows 10 Pro 64bit computer. However, as soon as I installed 5.3, the device is no longer recognized by the computer at all. When I click on the newly created program icon I get no reaction from my computer and no lights on the device. I have tried uninstalling several times, and rebooting, but with no success. I went back to 5.2.2 ( which works perfectly).

I did not use any old profiles or move or copy any files manually because there is nothing happening.

Well im that kind of person that want to find the problem by himself and first i thought mmm maybe it is because of an older version thats installed on my computer. Well i deleted the older one and now i get an new error... and its an kinda weird one:

Click OK to try again, or enter an alterate path to a folder containing the installation package 'trackIR5.msi' in the box below.

the box says:
C:\Users\#NAME#\AppData\Local\Temp\{C1234173-192F-4008-BA83-625CE18D2101}\

The funny thing is that the setup is unpacking this file in the beginning of the installation. But i dont know where it is. When i click OK he will just give the error in a other sentence. When pressing CANCEL it gets more special. It says:

Error 1714. The older version of trackIR 5 cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group ( you guys <3 )

I hope someone can find a solution for me.

Good morning.

i came to the conclusion that the second problem layed intern in my system. I think i deleted a system file

The first problem though is a problem i think at the side of NaturalPoint. Simple explained: Installation worked normal when installing the installation is interuppted no matter what installation folder. No errors given just interuppted.

I "solved" the problem with the next steps:
1: i smashed my computer against the wall and it worked!
( NONO dont do that it was a joke )
1: i pickedup my laptop and went to youre site to download the newest software
2: I installed it without any problems ( so the problem partley lays at my side ) and drinked a beer to party
3: I zipped the whole folder "naturalpoint" and sended it to myself via our NAS
4: At the installation i saw there were some drivers an MS software installed first but i was sure they still were on my main computer
5: I pasted the folder on my Computer and Voila it worked. At this moment i drinked to much beer.
