TinMan, we know exactly what you are referring to. The movement is all relative to the camera. The problem becomes apparent because your game head is accelerated so that you are looking in a different direction than you are actually facing.

Its on our list of things to make better. Conceptually its seems like an easy fix, but the actual implementation is a little more difficult.

Thanks,
e

Just got done doing some curve adjustments and camera locating....

It is working quite nice now...Very impressed.

got to remember to get that head centered infront of the reticle now if you want to hit what you are aiming at...lol

I was a bit skeptical like dart, but I'm pretty amazed at how well this thing actually works...

Hopefully you'll be able to figure out how to get those two axis' to rotate with the "in game head" (which I understand would be a mathimatical nightmare because it would have to tranlate the relative position/distance to the camera compared to the relative orientation of the "in game head" and then apply it across two seperate axis') believe me, I see the technical difficulty.

Excellent... lots of positive comments here. I knew that once people actually got these things in hand, even the doubters would be supporters!

Every TIR I received from NP came in a cardboard box and the equipment was in great condition.

I have orderd the Vector kit from Extreme Gaming Devices(canada) while I wait I installed the Track IR 4 driver..
even just that improves my use of IL2 considerably. Bit hard to look right over my shoulder..

As far as looking over your shoulder and having left and right switched (which is a major bummer BTW) - wouldn't it be a simple thing to just invert the panning when your in-game head rotates past 90 degrees?

This really bums me out that checking six you can't lean left and right - you've got to lean right to lean left and vice versa.

But I'm sure you guys'll figure it out in due time!

Hi Chaps,

a TIR3 pro + Vector made its way to Germany yeasterday - to replace a TIR2 in the evening.

Very impressive ! Smooth as silk in PF - even a lit smoke will not put the tracker off.
Just a little more tweaking of the settings - which is now much more intuitive with the new SW.

A very thorough SAR mission retrieved a very dusty CFS3 jewel box .

I just had to see the 6dof in action. WOHA !
That is something to behold ! Very "natural", viewing over the nose or along the nose for deflection shots etc. or to check six. Just like in the movies, Top Gun style.

Lets hope other titles will support that stuff soon.

Worth every penny. Good show, chaps at TIR.

Cheers

I absolutely agree with Dart.

Vector works amazingly well! I was first very sceptical about it. But when I installed 6 DOF VECTOR i was immediately sold!

WOW!!! I think the difference between 2 DOF and 6 DOF is so big, i can now see why they call it a new technology.

You now actually really have the feeling to be in a 3D environment, moving forward, leaning backward.

Though the clip is expensive, it is worth every eurocent

Regards,

Greg.

Ps. edimensional also shipped my vector clip in just a sealed airbag.... not good to my opinion, i was glad that it wasn't bend or broken.
