Hi Magic,
I can cite two systems:
1. Asus C800 Deluxe Intel 875P based MB, and TIR1 works fine on WinXP Home SP1.
2. FIC Intel 845G based MB, and TIR1 does not work at all, no matter what trick ive tried (BIOS USB settings, MS and all hardware updated drivers, 2 different PCI USB boards, all versions of the NP drivers).
Its noteworthy to mention that the TIR is the only USB device that is incompatible with the 845G MB system. From webcams to dvd and cdrom r/w devices to joysticks to networking devices or even $5 memory stick readers. That has to point to a TIR design sensitivity issue. And there are other customers with various other MB and chipset vendors who are also suffering this issue.
Perhaps a list of known working motherboard configurations is the only way to take the gamble out of the TIR USB device recognition problem.
