Do you get anything to show in the device manager? Do you have another PC to try to make sure it isnt faulty hardware? And what was the result in using the NPregFix.EXE program?

I dont have another pc test it on, I can't see it listed in the device manager and the results of the fix are "No devices detected that need to be fixed"

I guess I should send it back then - it worked great for about 4 or maybe 5 days then nothing.

Or do you think a entire re-install of the whole system would fix it? That wouldn't be ideal if that had to be done on a regular basis.

1. Uninstall all TrackIR software.
2. Delete the TrackIR4 folder from C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint
3. Disconnect the TrackIR and reboot PC
4. Reinstall the software from this link.
5. Reboot PC.
6. Connect the TrackIR to a USB port on the back of the PC.
7. No matter what displays, if it installs, great but if not, find a file called SETUPAPI.LOG in your windows folder and email it to me.

Also try to run the RegFix that is stickied on top of this forum after all these steps are complete.

I am also having this problem. I tried everything that Rick says. All I get is the faint red light.

That wouldn't be ideal if that had to be done on a regular basis.I had exactly the same problem yesterday 29/th and got it working again by uninstalling software at add/remove in con panel/then went to prog /files look to see how many folders of nat point you have/I had two-np/np2-delete np/then opened np2 deleted-all the copies of files in there i.e anything that had a(2)on the end-back to desk top reinstalled tir software then plug in tir -then reboot -hey presto-tir working again -this worked for me -hope you can understand what i did-beepee

Thanks Beepee but that hasn't worked for me - I have sent the "SETUPAPI.LOG" file to Rick so I hope that a solution can be found - be interesting to know what is causing the conflict.

Same problem here. Tried all the steps suggested, but no joy.
