It is unlikely we'll add a feature that disables our device when you use another device. Especially since many people like moving the mouse and their view at the same time.

We'd have to put in a delay before trackir reactivated, or you'd get view stuttering every millisecond that the mouse wasn't registering movement. And with a delay you'd have the new annoyance of waiting for your TrackIR control to resume after you've stopped moving the mouse (not to mention anytime you accidentally bump the mouse).

Have you tried using the Pause Hot Key, Big Mike? (if not on your mouse, then on your joystick?). The idea of Pausing is that you can set it to whatever key or button you want so you can control when trackir is or isn't working.

I feel the ideal solution for this issue would be larger hotspots in FS2004, so you could have a wee bit more leeway. personally, i just zoom in as much as i can so i've a little more space to click.

I will bring this to our programmers attention again though.

I finally added vocal command in Voice Buddy
I say "F nine" to pause trackir and "F nine" again to unpause it
I added also F12 to center it.
I will try to assign F9 to a button of the CH. Product yoke
(maybe it is the best way as it is not comfortable
to press F9 key then to move the mouse and then to press F9 key again)

Thanks for your reply

Hello chaps...

I have this problem too that is making trackir 99.9% perfect...it really is the vest ever add-on i have ever had for FS9...and i have spent thousands on this hobby..

I want to be able to freeze trackir and use my mouse to turn dials/knobs and not have it zoom into the panels like it does in standard FS9 Virtual cockpits..if i could zoom in to my dials and then click a button and use my mouse to turn the dials and also if it was easier to use the virtual cockpit without having to saty 100%still in order to use the dials it would be great..

Regards Paul Teasdale UKOn another forum the following was suggested:

>> have the TrackIR "Lock" button programmed to one of the buttons on my yoke. That way I look to where I need to, LOCK the view, set the LDS panel button/control, and then UNlock the view. It's automatic now.

I've had this months now and still love it.... The best thing to do is to do what someone said above and use FSUIPC 'Keys' screen to assign a Joystick command - I have set a command to the F9 key so that in the flick of an instant I can freeze the head movement to make changes to the MCP, etc ......<<

Why wouldn't this work?

I did assign two buttons of my yoke
for F9 and F12 keys and it works very well !

I agree that it is the best solution and the most comfortable!

Dont forget to assign a left button for F9
as you need your right hand to move the mouse!
