Version 4.1.029 alpha 2 works for me in two separate installations of FS9 using FS9.exe, but TrackIR4 will not respond (no blue light) in Golden Wings installation of FS9 using FSGW.exe. Uninstalled and re-installed the software but still no response in Golden Wings.
Interesting. I dont use Goldenwings. My exe file is FS9.exe, but maybe is a good tip for the engineers.
The strange thing is that everything was OK with .028 drivers. Maybe the have changed the detection routine of FS executable to make it able to detect FSX too.

Actually they are detected in totally different ways. FSX has a new way of connecting and communicating with hardware than other apllications do.

During the golden wings install, is it modifying any .dll files as well as the .exe file?

Strangely enough, with 4.1.0.28, and the FSX plug, the device continues to work well with FS2004, but is not working with FSX. I notice the green light is on, but there is no response in the 3D panel.

Is there something I need to adjust in the game?

Thanks,

Ken

AFAIK, no, but maybe Im wrong, because I installed GW only one time, years ago.
Maybe if you could explain how FS9 is detected, I could have a tip about whats wrong.
Also, I forgot to say I dont install FS2002 .dll in the drivers. I never needed it with TIR3 or 4. Maybe should I try to install it?

Tnx

We are currently looking into the issue; Ive passed on your info to or development team, and hope to have an answer in the coming days.

Re-installed version 4.1.028 and TrackIR4 works with all installations of FS9 including Golden Wings.

My work around is to use version 4.1.029 alpha 2 for FS9 and FSX Beta, and to re-install version 4.1.028 for FS9 and Golden Wings.

Had to back to .028 drivers. FS9 works great now (again).

ALPHAS are useless for me on FS9 and FSX. I hope you solve the problems soon.
