Good morning.

I have tested mu trackIR on an otehr system, and the same problem appeared. After a period of flight, FS9 crash, whith showing error messages, saying that some files cannot be loaded. Just after that, the PC freeze, just like with my computer.

I usually use a firewall (Kerio), but the problem happens also when i close it. In fact, i tied to fly on an empty system (only windows, the drivers and fs) with the same result.

I use an antivirus(avast), but i always disable it when i play.

I think that it is a hardware problem, but the thing that makes me doubt is that i can fly hours with Lock-On or Il2-pacific fighters, or drive many kilometers whith GTR 1 and 2 and Test Drive Unlimited with no problem. I only have problem with FS9. Is it possible that a hardware failure affect only one game ??

Thank you for your help.

It shouldn't effect just one application.....

Which language version of FS9 are you using?

Hello Vincent

I have a great good news : my problem seems to be solved !!!

One of your question showed me the way, and the problem came from the firewall (kerio personnal firewall). I did make test with kerio closed, but today i tried to completly uninstall it, and from then, all works well. I think that some services loaded on computer's startup continued to work when the software was closed.

All my test from the uninstallation have been done with no problem. I'll try to fly a long flight to be sure.

But this solution is not 100% good, because now, my system is not secured. Can you give me your advice concerning the choice of a firewall ?

Thanks a lot for your help, and for the time you spend trying to solve my problem.

The issue comes down to the firewall still having a "TCP/IP wrapper" installed over the Tcp/IP stack , on the windows system, even when closed.

I find that the built-in firewall with windows tends to work just fine.
