I tested 3.2.030 with Win2K and WinXP (both with VMWare tools) under VMWare 5.5.1. The mouse cursor moves in and out of the guest VM without any issues, it tracks nicely as well. Clicking works inside and outsite the VMs as well without intervention or needing resets.
