trackir not load in microsoft flight simulator x

I followed everything here and my TrackIR still does not work under FSX.
I am running WinXP Pro SP2, FSX with Acceleration pack installed, TrackIR3 w/ VE. TrackIR software is latest, no updates available (TrackIR version 4.1 build 30). Kaspersky Antivirus (turned off during install and normal play) No firewall on this system (behind a firewall protected home network of computers).
TrackIR shows FSX listed in the profiles. I tried uninstall and resinstall methods shown here, but nothing worked yet. TrackIR works fine under LockON Flaming Cliffs, but not FSX w/ Accel Pack.

When you load FSX, does it show up in the TrackIR software, under current game (Main Tab)?

Not sure, but last night I uninstalled FSX and will be reinstalling it tonight and will keep you updated. I will also check to see if FSX shows up as you indicate, and let you know.

I reinstalled FSX then SP1 only (without Acceleration Pack currently), and my TrackIr software shows the latest build (4.1 Build 30) and on the Main Tab for Current Game: None, even though the FSX mission window is open on the desktop.

and you tried the clean install of the simconnect folder, and then running the repair install..........

Tried that, and had some new errors come up.
I guess I will try and reinstall again, making sure I do a proper cleanup.
I'll get back with you. For some reason this system doesn't seem to like FSX, yet I installed FSX, SP1, and Acceleration pack on another system (an AMD Dual Core System) and it works fine, including the TrackIR3 with FSX.
