uninstalled McAfee and tried ZoneAlarm, thought it worked initially but then same problems - FSX gets laggy and then freezes up.
Any recommendations on compatible Firewall software (using Vista 32) or settings that would allow TrackIR to work with FSX and Vista?
all help appreciated!

Hi Vincent,
I tried the AVG Internet Security Trial download and I still have the same problems. I allowed all FSX related programs. Under networks, I created the address 127.0.0.1, but not sure how to specify "allow" for that menu, or if that is automatic, just by specifying. (Hope I'm making sense)
tips on configuring for AVG? Are you using the Internet suite, with firewall protection, or just the anti-virus? Also tried BitDefender, same troubles.
thanks!

We will be releasing an update to the TrackIR software, in regards to FSX, shortly, which may improve the issue.

Thank you!!! Thank You!!!
TrackIR is such a great product - I hate to see it crippled by the current FSX limitations.
I certainly appreciate your support and look forward to getting back into the skies, "with my own eyes"
any ideas on timeframe (ballpark) for new release?

Around the time we release the SmartNAV 4, as we are updating the TrackIR software to accommodate the new hardware and drivers.

Any word on release date for improved TrackIR driver for FSX?
Right now it's either firewall or TrackIr. Had to resort back to FS9.
can't wait!

Within a week, or 2. The development team is working on it, as we 'type'.
