Hmmm, very strange, as I was testing it here, with Vista 64, and it was working fine.............

Hmm, well, that is strange. Not sure why it is doing it, and it doesn't each and every time, but it does at least 50% of the time or more, after resuming from sleep, until I reboot the system. The software does not launch, but I can see the track ir 32 exe in the process tab, and end it, in task manager. I reboot and then all is well.

Try updating the software to the latest version, as this should also update the TrackIR drivers as well.

I have the latest version, I installed Vista Ultimate 64 bit a couple weeks ago, and downloaded and installed the latest version, guess I could try uninstalling and reinstalling...

Thye drivers themselves should be listed under NaturalPoint (Device Manager), when using the latest version.........

Are you talking the beta drivers? I will give them a try.
I have the latest " final " version, the build 30 I believe?

Ok, I uninstalled build 30 final version, and installed the latest beta.
Now, after sleeping the system, when I wake it, and launch the Track IR software, the window does open, but now it just freezes, says no device, and when I try to close the window, get the program is not responding message and have to choose to end the program...

and the TrackIR is listed under NaturalPoint, in Device Manager?

It is listed, under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, as:
Natural Point Track IR4.

Just tried it again, and this time the software again did not load like previously, but track ir 32 process listed as running in task manager processes tab. Only way I will be able to get it to run properly at this point, would be to reboot my machine.
This is wierd...
