TrackIR 3 not responding in FSX

performed a repair of acceleration.
reinstalled fsuipc
uninstalled and reinstalled 3 differeent versions of trackir software.

STILL Broken!
Wont work in fsx

Looking at the Tracking screen, what do you see there?

When not in game
the main tab says:
trackir by natural point
device info trackir Pro xxxxxx
Current Game: None
Current Profile: Default Profile

bottom bar says
status tracking, tracking: Vector Center:f12 Enable:f9
when in fsx it says "current game: flight simulator x"
under profile it shows flight simulator x in bold with the flight sample pofile in bold
th bottom of th screen shows
status: tracking, Tracking: Vecyor, as above.

When the sample flight profile is selected, it shows the head veiw moving and all of the other views are active.

I just tested it again 4 times in game each time it crashed after a few minutes, i.e "trackir has stopped responding. the veiw would not move in game during this test.

I did notice that restarting trackir while fsx is running does enable in game tracking - as in it runs.. but then crashes after 40 seconds or so.

Did you delete the naturalpoint folder when uninstalling the TrackIR software?

Have you tried running both FSX, and TrackIR as an admin?

Fsuipc is used with VAFS - virtual airline financial system.

Yes have tried with and without admin.

I deleted the trackir folder before installing fresh.

I have since uninstalled and reinstalled FSX.
Still not working in game...

So running from a base install of FSX, with SP2 installed only (no add-ons, or other applications running) the software is still crashing?

What type of firewall/antivirus software are you using?

Direct to pc. Have tried every port - then reboot to test.

I'm getting the same problem.

Thing is, track ir was working, then I installed SP1 and it stopped working. SO I updated to the latest software 4.1 36 and installed the Acceleration Pack (which includes SP2) and it fixed it....yes track ir was working again.

Then it stopped working and I can't get it working again.

Didn't do anything that I know of. It just stopped working. I can't get it to start by trying any of the tricks the other posters mentioned.

Using Track IR 4 Pro with vector on Windows XP Pro SP3. Turned off anti virus and the only local firewall is Windows. Very few add on software apps running in the background.

I should also point out that I have verified that the track ir unit is functional and is working with other sims. The problem lies with FSX.
