HI all. I bought a new computer recently and until then i used free track however, A. it is no longer compatiable and B. it got on my nerves, so im now looking to replace it with a TrackIR5.
however being cautious i decided to download the software and check it works on my new laptop before i spend anything.

I went to the site, downloaded version 5 final and it doesnt work. i get the exact message at the top of this thread.
i have a nividia gtx 570M windows 7 64 bit.
Is there anything i can do to make it work, as it may effect my desison to buy TrackIR.

just so you know i immediatley uninstalled and then installed the version 4 and this seems to work but i would much prefer v5

Hello -

The issue discussed in here is specific to ATI boards, would it be possible to post a screen shot of the error or the event log entry for it? That could help us narrow down the cause of this on your system.

Ok i will take a screenshot however i do not know how to find this error/event log entry, would you be able to tell me?

It should be in an application log, here is a good rundown of the event viewer: http://kb.iu.edu/data/aivi.html
You can access this in any version of windows by right clicking "my computer" or "computer" in the start menu, then selecting "manage".
