HI,
Ok here a link on the levers
Throttle link
IF you adapt it for more levers and use all 4 axis it works well.
To make it work as a USB deviece just buy a Gameport(DB15) to USB adapter. That will give you 4 axis and 4 buttons. About $16 USD
I used a Keyboard emulator for sending the toggle switche signals....I used Momentary on typeToggles. This way the send a make break signal and it returns to down or off position. That way I don't have to reset all the cockpit switches every time I crash.
I hacked a 2 sets of suncom throttles {4 levers} for my lever sets as they come with 100K pots installed it worked perfectly.. ($40 on Ebay) ..that's the 4 axis and used the small momentary switches from them as switches/buttons....Plus the USB adapter
total cost was $65
They look and feel real and I can use them as dual throttles for the bombers or motor management (Prop,Supercharger and such) depending on the key assignment I chose in IL-2.
If you want the best interface try this, The Epic
This will do hundreds of switches, pots, Leds, and such. It's just pricey and takes some know how to get working.
OK here's a link to a homebuilt cockpit that is to drool for.... A P-38
Hope that helps
