Charlie; Ok Thanks for that, anyway. Well, the only major problem I seem to still have is the occasional ' Cannot find device connected' message. Happened again tonight, after a reboot.....I closed the message, clicked on the software shortcut a second time, and it worked fine.

I am thinking I may try it through my old powered hub.....it is 1.1 USB...but of course is plugged into the PC through a USB 2.0 port. It already has my Saitek HOTAS and CH pedals in it...don't know if that would cause any problems.

I am using the same port I was using with the 2.11 software, and never had a problem...so it leads me to think it is still something in the new software. Setting the Affinity to one CPU fixes the other problems I was having.

Hopefully they have been able to reproduce this all now, and are working on correcting it.

Thanks again.

Do you have Hyperthreading enabled?

If so, have you tired setting the affinity setting to one CPU?

The instructions on how to do this is in this thread. I personally do not have an HT cpu so I do not know exactly.

"How to set the 3.01 Affinity to a single CPU: To set Affinity, run 3.01 and hit ctrl+alt+del, go to the processes tab if it isn't already, right click on the Naturalpont, click on the Set Affinity option and uncheck CPU 1. You'll have to do this everytime you start 3.01, or turning off HT completelty should be an potion in the BIOS, but it will have an effect on performance."

I think this is for Windows XP.

For those who are having the "Runtime Error" occur frequently there is a new version of the trackIR software (3.02 Beta 1.) available for download.
