Re: CFS3/OFF and TIR hassles

Ok apologies to Rick - I had no idea he'd replied in that other thread. I did try using TIRattack 1.6 at one point although it wasn't supposed to be needed and as Rick asked I definitely have tried uninstalling CFS3, deleting all the folders and reinstalling without any luck.
Could it be that since I used to have TIR2 installed (which needed TIRattack 1.6 to work) that something is left over in the registry that an uninstall of TIR2 drivers would not remove and that is conflicting with the new install of the TIR4 software leading to CFS3 "seeing" the TIR4 unit as a TIR2 and therefore ignoring it?
If I uninstall both CFS3 and TIR4 using the documented procedures, what would I go looking for in the registry to delete to utterly remove TIR stuff so I can start fresh?
Could someone at Natural point create a simple utility that would look for and remove entries from the registry that apply to their product - a NukeTIR utility? Saitek has a couple (well last time I looked anyway) of utilities like this for their software so that you can be sure of starting fresh for reinstalls when having problems.
Rudolf, I use an X36 USB set. The drivers are the second last lot.
Cheers,
Stonehouse
