I can see a very faint red LED burning. So, i bought me a external USB2.0 hub with it's own power supply. And now the red LED is much brighter but also on the hub it doesn't get recognized. All other USB stuff works like a charm on it.
I take it it has to be a hardware issue for sure.

Dear Vincent,
Sir, just 3 days ago excatly same happend to me.....with same install-log u can see above....
A very little "standby-red-light" appears on topside but nothing else.....and it seems, that i cant install the driver properly either....
I tried everything possible out of the knowledge box and whatever i found on net.....
Nope.....no change.....
Maybe you have heart bout me in someway. We ( www.reservoirs-elite.org ) are in a kind of relation to Naturalpoint ( Sponoring ) and it was also me, who made this movie (dogfight video with Naturalpoint outro) , also on this page.
But now, it looks like i got caught by this problem...
Is there any solution to this, or do i really have to sent it back ( if that is possible - shouldnt be 2 years yet )
Serial on TrackIR4 is xxxxxxxx.
What also interesting is, is that in my Profiler i only can see 2 axes suddenly...not more...just yaw and pitch...
And i tried to install the Driver on a blank new Windows without any Firewall or similar "blocking" software....result is ..still not working....
What can I do...how u can help
Would reall appreciate any help
Thx Sir.

Re: TrackIR 4 Pro can't work
Looking at the serial number, it looks like it is outside of the warrsnty period, but lets see if we can resolve the issue.....
Please send the following in to support....
What is the Serial # of the device?
It should be located on the end of the cable, near the USB plug, or on the underside of the device.
Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub?
Have you tried isolating the device on the USB ports?
Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?
In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.
Could you attach a screen shot of your Device Manager (showing USB), tracking screen (TrackIR software -> View -> Tracking). and the main tab?

I have formated PC....and installed Trackir4 on a blank new System with no additional disturbing Software.

What wonders me most, is that installation seems failing too..(software)..

Re: TrackIR 4 Pro can't work
The TrackIR software will not list the full 6dof, if it isn't detecting any hardware........ so the software itself isn't failing.
Have you tried the reg fix?

Re: TrackIR 4 Pro can't work
yes...it says..."no device detected that needed to be fixed"
Re: TrackIR 4 Pro can't work
It sounds like it has had some type of hardware failure (IC chip, resistor, etc.)

Re: TrackIR 4 Pro can't work
is there maybe a kind of diagnostic tool...to be sure hardware is damaged?
Re: TrackIR 4 Pro can't work
