Another TIR4 user with nothing happening in FSX.

No blue light, using the latest 1.29a3 drivers enabled TrackIR and FSX in firewall running Norton AV on a HPnx6125 laptop.

TrackIR is working as I've used it in GTR and games list is updated.

Eagerly awaiting a fix for this as it was the main reason I bought it!

Appreciate the hard work going on to resolve the issue.

Similar situation,

McAfee security suite 2007, and blue light on sensor TIR 4. Heads and gauges work even when FSX is running, but no output.

I have noticed though, the trackIR unit loses all lights (looks like it loses power) for a second or less during loading of FSX. Can't remember this happening on other things like FS2004, lockon and so on. Maybe becuase I wasnt paying that much attention to it becuase it worked.

I tried to cripple McAffee (net stop this and that) and shutting down all processes, but to no avail, I guess if it is mcafee, there is more happening in the background.

Does TIR use a certain port (I seem to recall it uses TCP)? Can we open a specific port to see if it helps.

I am on a Gigabyte board, I don't think it is hardware related.

Keep up the good work (cos can't get myself to fly without head movement, your sirs have spoiled us!!! and using the joystick for head movement feels so wrong, let alone I find myself still moving my head expecting it to work... )

OK, as for one possible reason. The issue could be tied to the TCP/IP stack within the OS. This can all be tied into a firewall, antivirus, or pop-up blocker, which is tied into your web browser, which is then tied into the TCP/IP stack.

One thing to try also is disabling the check mark next to "Periodic News Check" under Options in the TrackIR software.
