Then your problem wasn't exactly the same as ours (or as mine at least). I don't even have FS. Still, that may help, so thanks for the feedback.

To those who (still) have the problem described in this thread : it might be helpful to indicate what graphic card and drivers you are using, as was asked. Our problem doesn't seem that common, so any information provided would certainly make troubleshooting easier for Natural Point.

Dear friends:

First of all Active Camera isn't a default add on, if you don't have installed the problem is diferent of mine. However I think that the problem of stuttering is more related to software addons than older drivers, if you try Track IR in it's own software and it works good without stuttering it might be works good in another application like FS.

I had the same problem but not to hard, note that the Track IR works good at the menu, and seems to be with goos when the choppers is quite, the Stuttering starts whr the FS simulate turbulence or movement, the must be something that try to recreate head movement into FS and that create a conflict with track IR.

The problem for me is not quite as bad as in the video : I don't have this constant flickering of the image.

It's just the view that doesn't pan as smoothly as it should (or as it does when I'm on WinXP). When I turn my head, instead of seeing a smooth movement, I experience stutters and lag. But no flickering like in the video.

Problem is done...

I uninstalled and reinstalled FSX, and I'm not having the problem anymore...

I really don't know what happened, but I believe that is something related with some FSX add on or configuration...

Thanks for your help

cheers

Apart from the shimmering of the graticule lines in the TrackIR display with rapid head movement, I have not found any stuttering sufficiently bad to be objectionable, provided other programs are shut down, especially the Sidebar and Gadgets.
With Windows 7 it is easy to forget that other programs may be running minimised, as the Icons remain the same if they are pinned to the bar.
The important thing seems to be that with Flight Simulator X in Windows 7, the TrackIR window should be minimised before running FSX.
I tried setting the Priorities to different but equal levels - using Task Manager - it did not seem to make any difference to the reported stutter - but when I tried to set the 'Run As Admin' option, in Properties of both TrackIR5.exe and fsx.exe, the option was ghosted, even though I was running as Admin already.
Nonetheless, they are at equal settngs.

My modest system: MD8341, Win7, Intel 2.9GHz i3-530, 3GB DDR3, nVidia G210 (8.17.11.9621 driver), graphics settings Max, traffic & weather 30-40%
