I did the exact same. I've made the switch from windows 11. I'm done with Microsoft and their bloated BS. There's only a couple of things that force me to go back, head tracking is one of them. Please can you supply the software for us Linux users.
Regards
John

YES! PLEASE! I need Linux Support. I purchased my TrackIR 5 less than 6 months ago, this is my second TrackIR after my 4 died after years of use. I don't want this to be the last one I have.

You have 73 separate posts from users over a period of 15 years. With the mass exodus of Windows that will be coming in October of this year, now that serious power users (and lets face it, your customer base are the niche power users as casual gamers aren't going to invest $150 in a VERY niche product) will be leaving windows BECAUSE of the Steam support FOR Linux with the Proton adaptability layer. SO, IF you want to keep your product relevant and usable, I'd like to humbly request that you consider putting in the time and effort to develop a driver and software support for the Linux environment.

Hi everyone,
While we do not have a current date for its release, I have heard from our developers that Linux will be included in our future development plans.
Kind Regards,
I'm thrilled to find this, but it's been over a year. Any update on a possible release date?

Hello Lupus,
Thanks for the feedback and follow up. We have internal resources looking into updates for TrackIR. However, we can't currently comment on the timing or scope of those updates at this time. Linux support has been a frequent request, so while it's a complex ask, we are designing things such that this could be achievable in the future.
Kind Regards,

That's a shame. It sounds like placation with no actual serious progress. I was hoping that there had been some real work put into this. Especially since TrackIR is the ONLY reason I will be using Windows since ALL my games are now supported on Linux.

Yeh this is a shame indeed, as you've made a similar statement back in 2008. To me this sounds like this is not going to happen. Very unfortunate indeed.
Can you open source your software so that our community can take care of a Linux build? This sounds like a massive stretch, but hey you never know

Piling on here. I get it. Developing a Linux driver doesn't sell units, but Proton in Steam has obviated Windows for me as well. I would pay to get my TrackIR working in Linux for flight simulators. Just sayin'.

Also made an account just to add to this. I would much rather switch to Linux than continue being treated like a cash/data cow for Microsoft. The people posting here are only the ones who can be bothered to raise their voices. Please, for all the TrackIR users who are trying to escape from Microsoft's ecosystem, create a Linux-compatible driver.
