Same here. Created an account to ask for TrackIR Linux. It currently is the only thing "holding me hostage" at Microsoft.
Hopefully the developers see opportunities here for their product to embrace an uncharted market as there are currently no products with native Linux drivers/software.
If this is a money-thing, I'm happy to pay a small fee for those drivers/software, and I'm sure a lot of TrackIR owners that want to switch to Linux are willing to do the same.
Hopeful,
Paul

Just want to add my 2 cents. After several years of excellent performance from mt Track IR I have also got sick of Microsoft and the only casualty of my move to Linux has been my Track IR .
Please find a way of supporting it under Linux

I also have made an account to request drivers for Linux. I'm not intending to go the Windows 11 route. But I don't want to drop Trackir either.
Please press forward with development of a Linux version.
Thank you.

LinuxTrack works fine with my TrackIR 5, but it would be great to have official support

I have tried to get it to work with Linuxtrack in Linux Mint following the guides. It didn't work so I thought the guide might be outdated or broke due to kernel updates.
Can you walk us/me through the install process.
I think many users of this thread will be thankful for that

@fwfa is it you!? Your fork works great up to a point. The AppImage helps alot but the build instructions are also fair to do.
I read the wiki at the project page (there is one on GitHub and one at GitLab?) ten times but I can't get one detail:
Tracking works fine with the AppImage preview but I don't get it to work ingame at Steam ACC or ProjectCars2. The TrackIR Camera is lighting up but there is no movement. It is still not clear to me IF we need to pre-start "Controller.exe" in Steams Proton pfx or need to use "ltr_pipe" or nothing of both when using the (working) winebridge.
And for all others: It nearly works (may work completely in other games maybe). Give it a chance !!

@fwfa trying for last 2 years with original and recently your fork.
short story, even if I build it or use AppImage it works in its own UI, but no game recognize controller.
All checks are success.
Used fixed Proton version (didn't work with Experimental), even if updating prefix is success.
For ARMA it screw prefix so I have to recreate it to play.
Managed original to work with ltr_pipe as joy but camera movement is not smooth in the game, unusable.
Don't know what is the trick to make it work.
Now if only SteamFrame will save the day...
Anyone wants to buy used TrackIr, half price?
