@fwfa is it you!? Your fork works great up to a point. The AppImage helps alot but the build instructions are also fair to do.
I read the wiki at the project page (there is one on GitHub and one at GitLab?) ten times but I can't get one detail:
Tracking works fine with the AppImage preview but I don't get it to work ingame at Steam ACC or ProjectCars2. The TrackIR Camera is lighting up but there is no movement. It is still not clear to me IF we need to pre-start "Controller.exe" in Steams Proton pfx or need to use "ltr_pipe" or nothing of both when using the (working) winebridge.
And for all others: It nearly works (may work completely in other games maybe). Give it a chance !!
Yes, sir β thatβs me!
I maintain identical codebases on both **GitHub** and **GitLab**, but all issue reports are currently tracked on **GitLab**.
##

Current Development Status
- The **AppImage** and accompanying **documentation** still need refinement.
- Iβm actively working to stabilize the build process.
- Once stable, Iβll update the AppImage and documentation accordingly.

Hotkey Usage in Steam
- To use hotkeys in Steam, you **must start `controller.exe` first**, then launch the game.
- **Recommended workflow:**
1. Launch the **Linuxtrack X-IR GUI**.
2. Start tracking.
3. Launch your Steam game.
Or skip starting the controller.exe file and **Tab out** when you need to use pause or recenter hotkeys

Note: The original Linuxtrack creator included a global hotkey system. I plan to expose this functionality through the UI soon.

Future Goals
- Finalize AppImage stability.
- Improve documentation.
- Expose global hotkey support via UI.
- Complete Qt 6 migration.
