looking for help and information

I am the mom of Peter, a quad in a locked-in state from TBI; he is fully cognizant and can move his head; we tried the SmartNav AT in a lab and he can control the mouse. He was formerly a musician and composer; we are exploring how we can get music composition software on a computer (like LOGIC or FL studio) and enable Pete to use the SmartNav and the music software together to get out the music he is composing in his head, Pete cannot move his fingers or speak. Can this be done at all? If so what computer figuration would be needed? If you are interested, his story is on www.helppete.com and caringbridge.org/visit/peterfulves.

Hello -

The smartnav should work with any mouse driven MIDI or similar program to help Peter with composition. Many colleges now have electronic composition programs that can likely explain how this works and perhaps help you find something that Peter can use for compositions. Good luck!
