I located the game I wish to use TrackIR 5 with- X3: Albion Prelude. I am unsure what it is I need to do, other than select the profile type (one:one, default, or smooth).

Should TrackIR automatically swtich to that profile when I run the game, and is there a way to check that this is happening?

I ran the game w/ TrackIR running but TrackIR didn't work in game, even though it is working based on the responsiveness within the TrackIR screen.

If you would like to use a specific profile for a game, you can go to the advanced settings - titles tab, and change the dropdown next to the game's name to the profile you would like to use. Whenever that title is loaded, TrackIR will automatically load the profile.

If you would like to check to see if it is working, alt-tab out of the game and look at the top left corner of the TrackIR software window. It should list the serial number of your camera, the selected profile, and the title of the game currently running.
