swap fix tool

i am currently using the 1.7.3 software, i am following the turorials to the T. but however, whenever i get to the swap fix tool setting, i select the axis, apply swap, it does not work correctly, it swaps the outside of the axis i am actually trying to swap. please help me with this situation. thank you very much.

How many frames are the markers swapped?

They are doing them for every swap. From 10 frames to 100. I am kind of new at this, but I have followed all the instructions giving, by natural point, and also other resources. The turtorial says "and its as easy as that." So i figure there is a malfunction somewhere.
