stopping the movment

Hi all

I am trying to use this in F1 2011 with only 1 axis (left/right),
and I am trying to get the view to stop at about 75-90 degrees from front. So that in the heat of a race I don't end up looking in to the back of my own car, but just looking to the feild of view that the cockpit will show.

How can I do this? I only appear to alter speed.
Thanks
ED

Hi Ed,

The easiest way to do this is to select the "Limit" option on the axis you'll be limiting (in this case, Yaw).

By default this will cap the motion at +/- 180 degrees. To change this to 90 (or whatever you prefer), do the following:
  • If you're using the Default profile, create a copy of it for editing purposes. If you've already created a custom profile, you can skip this step.
  • Close the TrackIR software.
  • Locate the TrackIR 5 profiles subfolder (in my case, it's located at C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\Profiles)
  • Find the custom profile you want to apply edit the limit for. It will be a .XML file.
  • Open this file with Notepad.
  • Find the line that says 180
  • Edit the number to your preferred new limit. (e.g. 90)
  • Save the file and exit Notepad.
  • Restart the TrackIR software and ensure that the "Limit" checkbox is still selected for the profile you'll be using.
That should be all you need to do.
