More than 24 camera? Active marker?

Hello,
Excuse my bad english, I use google trad ...
I wonder if it is possible to use more than 24 cameras.
We have a full sysem of 24 cameras and we capture two characters simultaneously.
The cameras are mounted on the walls of a room 8.5m X 6.5m ... With a mix of 3.5mm and 5.5mm lens, we get an area 4.5m X 5.5m comfortable ... I would like to "secure" the area of capture by establishing six new cameras with 3.5mm lens on a beam that runs through the piece to about 3.5m high.
Is it a good idea? Is this possible?
I would also like to know if NaturalPoint sells suit fitted with active markers.
What is the advantage / disadvantages of active marker?
thank you!

No if they are v100r2 cams, 24 is the limit,
but if you have 250e cameras, yes you can go past 24 cams.

This is absolutely correct. The USB cameras are limited to 24 per system for a variety of reasons. Ethernet cameras are currently capped at 48.

We do not sell active marker fitted suits, however we do sell the LEDs that you could use to outfit a suit with the markers. The data sheet is also available on our product page, here

Thank you for all of the above!
This limitation of 24 cameras is likely to change?
If I turn the usb rj45 with a kit like this:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001UHMIKM/ref ... B001UHMIKM
Do you think I can go up to 32 cameras?
Another question: Is it better to use 3 usb active extension 5m or one of 15 m?
Thank you!

It's not recommended to use something like the kit seen there for the cameras, as the software can be very sensitive to latency, so it should be minimized as much as possible.

USB camera systems are limited to 24, and that is not likely to change.

The maximum number of usb active extension cables between the computer and the optihub is two 5m extensions, plus one 5m usb a-b cable, for a total of 15m. 3 5m extensions are not supported and can cause issues.

active extensions cannot be used between the OptiHub and the cameras. This connection must be 1 cable, maximum 5m.
