TrackIR and VS

I loaded TrackIR 5 and all seems to be working perfectly but with one glitch, for some reason when I have TrackIR activated, it blocks the use of VS and ALT Hold and my aircraft plummets to the ground...as soon as I close TrackIR, I can use the ALT Hold and VS selectors on the MCP with no problem...appreciate any help I could get...Thanks!
