I have a track ir 5 I use on 3 23 inch monitors with a asus 7970 matrix. I noticed today there was a white spot right under where the track ir sits. I was able to use massage method and spot is now gone but I think for now on I will not let it sit on monitor when not using it. I searched and could not find any posts on this so maybe its just my setup. I know it could happen to crt but didn't realize lcd could be affected by magnets.

White and/or dead spots can appear on any part of the monitor and is probably unrelated to the placement of the TrackIR. Also as afar as I know LCD monitors aren't effected by magnets like CRTs are. This is likely just a coincidence, but please let us know if this comes up again after moving the camera.
