Hi all

Anyone has any recommendations for a voice recognition program for flightsimming? Have looked at a few, but cannot decide.

Hi Flygirl,

I am sure that you don't mean software like Dragon naturally speaking or such.

I use Microsoft "Game Voice", which IMO seems to be the best for my needs. Problem is: Not available anymore !

Microsoft released it perhaps to early, when the market wasn't ready for it!

You can use it for teamspeak and/or voice recognotion. It is hardware based and functions perfectly!!!

I used to use it in Operation Flashpoint for e.g. giving troops some commands. I used it in 2 or 3 other (flight)sims, too. But the problem I tried to evade with it, occured in another way...
Although I could not nearly remember all keyboard commands, I forgot some of my voice commands after a period of time always shouting wrong commands in the mic and nothing happened..

mmed, I have the VB3 it comes with profiles for

CFS2&3
Pacific Fighter
IL2:FB+AEP+PF
IL2
LOMAC
MSFS2004 &2002

out of the 'box'.

It is built around the MS voice recognition libraries so the more you use it the moer accurate (and bigger file size) it becomes.
The VB default profiles is based around unmodified key selections but it is fairly easy to tlee VB to use a different key for that action.

I use it when in supported games for health reasons, but you do need a good mic which ever VR rogram that you go for.

Most of the community I play with online use either teamspeak or ventrilo. Roger Wilco works well and some people use Battlefront, both older programs.

Hm, Teamspeak and Ventrilo and Roger Wilco are voice comms to talk, not voice recognition programs to generate keystrokes; MS' Game Voice is both.

Have you tried Shoot? It's free.

Hi,
I use VAC builder myself and it works on every application very fine: CoD, Sturmovic, Wolfenstein ET.
Just type in the commands and go.

I bought VoiceBuddy, and a number of the "pay for" game additions.

Then I found http://clans.gameclubcentral.com/shoot/

It works GREAT, it's freeware, and it's Community supported here,

While I still have the VB software, I haven't installed or used it for close to 3 years now.

Check it out.
