FSX Default view without TrackIR

This problem occurred after upgrading to TrackIR software v5.2.
When I try to use FSX without TrackIR, the default VC view is facing the sky (nearly straight up). When I pan down I see the tail of the plane from above the cockpit and at a 45 degree angle to the right.
How can I reset my default view? I've tried manually adjusting the camera, however the 45 degree angle makes it difficult and extremely tedious every time. I've checked the cameras.cfg file and it seems to be normal. Also, I can play with TrackIR just fine... this only occurs without TrackIR, software is shut down and sensor is unplugged.
I am using TrackIR 5 with TrackClipPro and software v 5.2.
Any ideas are appreciated.
