Absolute mode for IL-2, too?

Not believing my P3 1000, 512 RAM, G4 ti4200 would be good enough for FB, and also not knowing that FB would come with IRenhanced, I ordered IL-2 instead ($15).
Are there any predictions what would happen if I just drop the FB trackir.dll into IL-2, might it work?

I think those specs you posted are within the minimum specs for FB. FB will have full support for TIR out of the box.
As for the .dll, no. The code to call functions from the .dll has to be in the game code as well. I do not know if they plan to release a patch, but I doubt it. I remember a few threads on the IL-2 forum of people talking about it, but there was never an official responce saying there would be one.
Im afraid your going to have to stick to mouse view until FB comes out.

It's predicted FB have same graphics engine as IL2 so you will have same perf with FB. (there are new upgrade options but you could not use it).
