I bought Track IR 5 in July and it's a great device, I love it but it crashes FSX almost every time I use it.
I get Simconnect errors, it will freeze FSX in mid flight and I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to get to the desktop and shut down FSX. Track IR driver: 2.50.0.0 per the Driver tab of Device Manager. I was told that it was because of the 6DOF and the amount of processing it has to do. Please advise.

Have you tried the TrackIR with other games? Is it only crashing FSX? Are you using any other peripherals or 3rd party addons?

Hi, thanks for responding. I use Track IR 5 only for FSX as I have no other games.

I do have some add-ons but everything was fine till TIR. My system is very tuned for FSX with the help of a software engineer.

People have told me the 6DOF and PBY can overwhelm FSX and cause out of memory errors. FSX runs fine without TIR however.

Could you please try without any addons? Some addons may interfere with TrackIR.
