Hi,
Last month I install windows 8 x64 after getting a new bigger capacity SSD.
Everything works fine except a little problem with software (trackir5) not starting up automatic after windows boot! If I double click the TrackIr 5 shortcut program runs fine, no problem at all. Only, why can't start automatic after I boot my system and have to run it manually every time I run windows 8!
I have to say that I already tick the option to run in every time windows starts.
Any suggestion ?

have you been able to find a work-around on this problem? I've experienced it on Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 (all clean installs). I'm more than happy to help with more info on this issue from my local setup. Please let me know how to proceed

I have been fighting this issue behind the scenes and hopefully will have a solution soon. What I do have is a work around for the time being. Hit start, and type in Task Scheduler, once in there you just need to choose to create a basic task and set up SmartNav to run when the computer starts. I know it isn't perfect, but it should do the trick until I can get the software mended.

Yeah, task-scheduling should be able to help me force through during startup.

Trackir not starting with Windows 10 either. I'll try the taskscheduler workaround. Thanks.

It should still work as a workaround, but there should be a more permanent fix inbound in not too long.
