Software sometimes will not start

Running TIR on Prepar3D with TCPro - I have tried this with the TIR 5 and the TIR 4 latest downloads - *many* times when I first start TIR - the software will load and just before it establishes a connection with the scanner, it crashes with an error. I can repeat this several times and then, with no changes, it works. Seems unstable. I usually start TIR first, then weather, then P3D.

I only have essential programs running in BG. Any thoughts as to how to find out what is happening?

Hi Dustin -

Uninstalled 5.2.2 and installed 5.1.3.

1) nothing running - started TIR - all is well

2) second try - started AS2012 weather - started Plan-G Map - Started TIR - error when trying to connect

3) third try - nothing running - start TIR - error

Hi Vic,

I am reading your forum post again and you have mentioned "the scanner." I have assumed this is the TrackIR device sitting on your monitor. Could you confirm this is crashing on startup of TrackIR and not Prepar 3D?

If your TrackIR software is crashing on launch I would like to remote into your system and have a look. Could you please create a ticket with us at:

Hi Dustin -

Yes - it crashes before P3D is even started - not ALL the time but most of the time.

I can usually be available during the week around 4PM California time - how does that fit with your schedule? I'll create a ticket and go from there.
