Hi,

I'd like to know how is the latency of eSync.
Is it constact? or varies depending on the situation?

To synchronize Optitrack with a forceplate, I record eSync output
and forceplate signal using a data acquisition device.

I wonder the OptiTrack recording starts 20 earlier than the eSync output signal. Is that correct?

My environment is follows
Motive 1.5
S250e 12 cameras
250fps

When you press the record button in Motive, this sends a command to the eSync telling it the system is going into the recording state. At the beginning of the next frame period after this command is received by the eSync it will assert the "Recording Level" on one of its outputs (if it has been configured to do so via the Motive Tools->Synchronization panel). The eSync also sets a recording flag in the data packets it sends to Motive, and Motive waits on this flag before it actually begins to record data from the cameras. So, in this way, the eSync outputs should exactly match the timing of when camera data starts to be recorded.
