Mounting the Camera

I have just purchased the TIR5 and before I can use it I am hit with a problem straight away - my LCD monitor is far too thin to mount using the suggested method and supplied bracket.

It is an AOC widescreen monitor. I would appreciate some feedback to solve this. I have had a search through the forum but couldn't see any info on it. Apologies if I missed it.

Hello,

The mounting base can be used on virtually any monitor. I am currently using a Dell LED monitor at home that is just at 1" thick. I had to completely lower the back leg of the mount to a near 90 degree angle. Place it on the back of the monitor, and then push the two front legs of the mount all the way apart against the front. Our mount can be used on items as thin as 1/2".

I have responded to your help ticket as well, and if you need any more assistance please let us know.

Thanks for the info Mike. I have also replied to your email.

For anyone else in my situation in the future and is looking for answers in these forums, the mount will work as described above. I was concerned that it wasn't stable enough, but it has worked well. I may "invest' in some Blu-Tac to make sure, but its good to go :)
