Trouble setting up TrackIR 5
Posted: Thu Dec 05, 2013 4:48 pm
Just installed my new TrackIR 5 with TrackClip Pro and this thing... doesn't work?
I've got the clip installed on my headset exactly the same way that Dslyecxi has his installed as seen in the video on this page: http://dslyecxi.com/trackir5/
I'm experiencing quite a few problems, though, and would appreciate any help that could be provided.
-The virtual head movement in the TrackIR 5.2 software does not match the way my head is moving. When I pan my head to the right, the virtual head pans left, tilts left, and slides right. Similarly, when I look up the virtual head backs up while looking down. Changing the settings for pitch, yaw, roll, etc to invert doesn't seem to affect this though I can at least get the wireframe to go in the right direction sometimes.
-I'm sitting in a dark room and no matter what I do there's a red blob showing up on the camera view to the lower left of the track clip lights whenever I'm not looking to the right. Since there aren't any lights going behind me I'm having trouble figuring out what this could be. http://i.imgur.com/biczSHH.png
- Even though the red blob only shows up when I'm looking center or left, when I turn my head to the right the trackir responds like it's on drugs. When I pan right to 15 degrees this is what happens: http://i.imgur.com/KArZsyN.png
As I said I'd really appreciate any assistance you guys can give me.
