Null zone at Center

I've had trackir 5 for a few days and really enjoy using it with FSX. I notice that there is a small null zone when looking straight ahead out of the cockpit (centered view-F12). I can move my head slightly from side-to-side and the view stays motionless. I'm guessing this is done so a direct view towards the front will be stable so you can more easily adjust the instruments.

The only "negative" about this is that when doing a complete scan, say from right to left, there is a fraction of a second pause when you look directly at the center of the screen, before your head continues the scan to the left.

Is this adjustable in any way?

Thanks.

Hello Signalman,

What you are experiencing is the "Deadzone" that is on certain profiles, and it can be adjusted, or even eliminated from your profile. When looking at the advanced settings menu, and the profiles tab. You can see that there is a drop in the middle. You can eliminate the deadzone by eliminating the drop, and leveling the curve.

I would also advise taking a look for other users profiles here:

It may help you figure out what others have done to enhance their experience.
