Motive 1.6 CSV time stamp wrong

Hi Naturalpoint,

just downloaded and tried Motive 1.6 beta - I generally enjoy the look of the new CSV export format, but I'm getting a weird time stamp output. For example, I get time stamps from
1445.38811 to 1451.155364 seconds instead of
0 to 5.767 seconds
for a take, or
1626.427073 - 1632.068216 seconds instead of
0 - 5.077s seconds
for another take (these are both takes that were recorded in Motive 1.5).

I get the same time stamps for the same recording if I export multiple times (eg with or without header). Does it export some sort of absolute time for the take instead of the the recording duration of that take? :?:

Cheers,
Kathrin

Hi Kathrin,

When Motive launches it starts a clock. We decided to pull the time from this clock. Customers who shoot several take files in sequence will benefit from this feature.

The time can be easily calculated to display a 0 to X format. However, we will consider starting at 0 if requested by customers. I would like to hear your feedback on this.

Regards,

Hi there,

Now that I know what it is and that I will get the correct values between 0 and x by subtracting the initial time stamp from all the frames, this doesn't cause a problem to me anymore. I guess it's just a matter of letting people know what's what. :)

Cheers,
Kathrin
