Hi There,

I am interested in purchasing a TrackIR 5 but I have a Dell U2414H monitor which has very ultra-thin bezels, since having the mounting solution block part of the screen is undesirable is there a solution out there that will allow me to mount the TrackIR 5 sensor on my monitor without blocking part of the screen?

Thanks,

Hello elmar01,

I love that monitor and I see what you mean. The portion of the screen that it blocks is minimal. It is really just two small points from the feet up front. What I did was use some side cuts and took off the bottom part of the front feet. There are lines on the back, and I left three lines. It made it easy to make sure they are the same size. It works really well for me, but there isn't an easier solution at this time.

Regards,

Thanks Mike for your informative reply, When I get TrackIR 5 I will do as suggested and trim the stand legs in order to fit on my monitor. You are right about the monitor, it is a fabulous monitor!!

Remove the magnetic foot.
Put a lump of bluetack each side of the magnetic pin on the camera.
Apply a bit of pressure to 'stick' the camera onto the top of the monitor.
Don't forget to check the camera is centered, if not adjust.
(has been working for me for years now).
